Print Council of Australia
Established in 1966, the Print Council of Australia Inc. (PCA) is the peak body representing and connecting our national communities in printmaking and works on paper. Based in Melbourne, for 55 years the PCA has promoted and supported contemporary artists working in print media, and advocated for the appreciation of printmaking, artist books and works on paper as a vibrant field of creative endeavour in the Australian context.
Through the quarterly art journal Imprint, the annual Print Commission program, exhibitions and other events, the PCA supports the work of its member printmakers and promotes excellence, innovation and knowledge sharing in the field.
Since its foundation the PCA has been the recipient of numerous project related government grants to develop events, exhibitions and projects to further its mission and support the work of living artists.
